Webinar Overview:

Presenter:

As the director of prearranged funeral planning at Feldman Mortuary, Jamie Sarche has been actively working to change the way our society thinks about death. She has helped many people think through their final wishes and give their loved ones the gift of prearranged funeral planning. Clients feel a real sense of peace for having made these decisions and taken the burden off the people they love most.

Inspiration:

Our society is so death-averse; we are told that discussing death is morbid and in bad taste. That aversion leaves us in the lurch when we face a death. We are forced to make difficult, expensive, and relationship-straining decisions when we are least able to- on the day of a loved one’s death. For almost 6 years, Jamie Sarche, director of prearranged funeral planning at Feldman Mortuary, has been actively working to change the way our culture deals with death by opening talking about it and helping clients to put their plans in place LONG before they are needed.

Intention:

Gain understanding-

A)  Why are death rituals important?

B)  Different kinds of disposition and their possible effects on survivors and the environment.

C)  What is required of next of kin at the time of a death?

D)  What can happen to family relationships?

E)  How can one protect his/her loved ones?
