With a distinguished career representing 20 years of leadership in the healthcare sector, Matt Smith epitomizes the essence of professional evolution driven by a passion to serve. His journey into the senior care arena began with an auspicious start at Vitas Hospice, marking the beginning of a fulfilling career path that would eventually lead him to Amada Senior Care, a place he proudly calls his “forever home.”

As the Vice President of Training and Support at Amada, Matt has leveraged his extensive experience in sales, operations, management, and leadership to spearhead a team devoted to bolstering the success of Amada franchise owners across the United States. Under his guidance, this team excels in providing strategic and tactical support, delivering indispensable resources aimed at fostering business growth, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch care to seniors and their families.

Matt’s competitive drive, coupled with his heartfelt desire to make a positive impact on the lives of the elderly and their loved ones, have been a constant throughout his career. It’s this dedication that not only motivates him professionally but also resonates deeply on a personal level.

Family
Matt enjoys spending time with his wife of 31 years, Anita.  She works as a paralegal in franchise law.  They have four children: Madison (27), a dietitian for DaVita and graduate of U.C. Berkeley; Brevin (25), who is studying cybersecurity and recently completed his commitment to the U.S. Army; Elijah (21), who works for the Disneyland Resort and is a computer engineering student; and Sinclair (16), who loves graphic and interior design and playing on her high school varsity basketball team.

Personal Interests
Matt is actively involved in his church community, serving in various capacities.  He is also a lifelong airplane enthusiast, and on weekends you can often find him at air shows and airplane museums throughout Southern California.
