In this webinar, attendees will learn about of technologies available today to support independence, safety, health and wellness and social connectedness of older adults. In addition, attendees will discuss provider case studies demonstrating the benefits that providers and older adults experienced as a result of these technologies and hear about key technology adoption and spending trends related to the use of technology by older adults and providers that serve them.

 

Learning Objectives of the Presentation:

• Learn about technology advancements and the range of technologies available today to support independence, safety, health and wellness and social connectedness of older adults.

• Discuss provider case studies demonstrating the benefits that providers and older adults experienced as a result of these technologies.

• Hear about key technology spending and adoption trends related to the use of technology by older adults and providers that serve them and how these trends will shape the future.

 

Majd Alwan, Ph.D., a noted researcher and authority on aging-services technologies, is LeadingAge’s senior vice president of technology, and executive director of the LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST). Dr. Alwan is responsible for creating and leading a network of technology companies, providers and research institutions focused on technology solutions for an aging society.

 Scott Code, Associate Director of LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technology (CAST) assists with shaping and executing CAST’s strategies and work plans to expand and lead CAST’s network. He is responsible for increasing CAST’s exposure and coordinating technology initiatives that aim to identify barriers and opportunities to facilitate the use of technology in an aging society.
