Nearly 60 percent of caregivers who care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia rate the emotional stress of caregiving as high or very high. A new Alzheimer’s diagnosis can bring with it a whirlwind of stress, confusion and anxiety about what to expect as the disease progresses.
This webinar will offer a how-to look at caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. The emphasis will be on the care and dignity of the individual to help them live a more fulfilling life. It will also detail a person-centered care approach to help to successfully manage symptoms and positively engage the individual with the disease.

  • Review the basics of dementia and the different types;
  • Understand different symptoms and how to minimize them;
  • Learn person-centered care and support strategies for family caregivers; and,
  • Discover additional Alzheimer’s and dementia resources.
