Derek Ayeh

Derek Ayeh is a graduate of Columbia University with a M.S. in Bioethics and The University of Chicago with a B.A. in Religious Studies. Prior to joining the Medicare Rights Center, Derek worked as a research assistant at The University of Chicago Hospitals. His main project focused on the effect of a patient’s religious beliefs on the end-of-life care recommendations given by physicians. He has since focused his academic efforts on issues of end-of-life, palliative care, and hospice.
