Economy of Kindness: How Kindness Transforms Your Bottom Line

In this highly interactive workshop, Cohen helps CSAs at all levels within an organization improve communication, boost teamwork, promote interpersonal interaction and customer service through engagement and focus on cultivating a stronger culture of kindness.

Kindness in the workplace improves employee morale, elevates customer service and creates loyalty from clients and customers.  According to research from the University of California Riverside, 40% of the difference between people’s happiness is determined by intentional actions, not by genes or circumstances. With interactive activities that engage participants, Cohen will illustrate how kindness in action makes a difference. She'll use examples of how kindness can impact individuals, communities and businesses.  Cohen will  share her three greatest lessons and how she became a “kindness catalyst”: the size of the action doesn't matter, there is often an unexpected ripple effect, and giving and receiving are often experienced differently.

Cohen will brainstorm with attendees to expand the conversation around why kindness can be so crucial in a business setting and what value our individual actions can have on our organizations. Are you and your fellow employees aware of how your actions within your organization, including simple daily acts of kindness, could change your outlook, productivity and build stronger relationships with your clients or customers? You'll leave this session with actionable ideas to bring back to the workplace and implement immediately.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn why cultivating a culture of kindness in the workplace is imperative: Reputation, Retention and Recruitment
  • Formulate ways to improve relationships with employees, managers and clients through intentional engagement in acts of kindness
  • Each attendee will leave with several kindness ideas to implement in the workplace immediately
