Online Senior Living Search. It’s Broken. Let’s Fix It.

In this session, we will explore the online journey for families seeking senior living and care. Through various real world case studies we will identify points of friction and information gaps that have proven to prevent them from finding the best solution for their needs.  We will also explore the transition from online into the “offline” real world and the challenges families experience.  All insights are gleaned from Seniorly’s over 100,000 active monthly users - their questions, needs and behaviors.  This session is created to inspire attendees, help them compete online and most importantly gain valuable tools to delight the families with whom they work..     

Whether a family is just starting to research their senior living and care options or in immediate crisis mode, finding the right information, services and solutions online can be extremely challenging. As the rapidly growing market has proven, the starting point is an online search engine.  Whether on a phone from a doctor's office or sitting in front of the computer with a loved one, the websites providing senior living search results usually lack accurate information or require a user to sign up.  We all know what happens next: incessant phone calls and aggressive email tactics. 

Change is possible.  Other industries such as Travel, Financial Services and Real Estate have evolved significantly over the past decade. Senior Living is ready. 

Families are seeking and demanding transparency, better information and local expertise. They are used to seeing amazing photos and reviews on AirBnB, historical market information on a new home and ratings on their Uber driver.  They want this across all of their consumer research and purchasing decisions.  The time is ripe for senior service providers to evaluate the challenges families face and provide an improved experience that leads to an increase in business growth.
