CSA Leaders Network

Our mission is to create a strategic network for Certified Senior Advisors (CSAs) that increases professional and public awareness of CSAs, provides resources and education, and promotes the value of the CSA dually accredited credential.

Welcome to the CSA Leaders Network for Connecticut. This group meets up to 6 times a year, typically on Zoom and sometimes with the Massachusetts CSA Group. We also host several in person events to network and meet our fellow CT CSA’s. Program: Walking Alongside: The Role of End-of-Life Doulas Providing Compassion, Comfort, and Guidance
Presenter: Michele Thomas, CSA, CDCM

This session introduces participants to the role of end-of-life doulas as non-medical companions who bring presence, guidance, and comfort during life’s final chapter. Attendees will learn how doulas support families through education, ritual, and legacy work, and how their role complements hospice and professional care teams. The presentation will also explore doula specialties, training vs. certification, and when Certified Senior Advisors may consider a referral.

Presenter Bio: Michele Thomas, CSA, CDCM End-of-Life Doula has more than 20 years of experience in aging services and serves as Executive Vice President of Osborn Home Care. A Certified Senior Advisor, Certified Dementia Care Manager, and trained End-of-Life Doula, she integrates clinical insight with compassionate support for individuals and families. Michele’s doula work centers on presence, legacy, ritual, and guiding families with dignity and understanding through the dying process. Her leadership also advances dementia caregiver education, technology in home care, and community collaboration. She is committed to honoring every season of life, with particular focus on end-of-life care.

You may want to first visit the group in your area. Check out this list of all CSA Leaders Network Groups to see if there is a group in your area and RSVP to attend a meeting or event. You are welcome as a guest, but if you want to join it is generally free or at a very low cost.
