Michael E. Dolan is originally from Texas where he graduated from Texas A&M University and entered the US Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1971. He served as a Missile Launch Officer for Minuteman nuclear missiles for a four-year tour and then served the rest of his career at various bases as a Services officer in charge of such things as dining halls and billeting as well as Morale Recreation and Recreation (MWR)- Officer and NCO clubs, child-care, mortuary affairs, etc. Mike deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm where he was the Services Squadron Commander. He also served additional duty as an admission Liaison Officer for the Air Force Academy. He accumulated 24 years of active duty and retired. He was invited to a Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) meeting by a good friend and business partner and found a home helping veterans with their benefits as an accredited Veterans Service Officer (VSO). He has spent many years working with veterans on disability claims and providing assistance, such as food and clothing, to homeless and needy vets. Mike is currently the Indiana State Council President for Vietnam Veterans of America. He has been instrumental in soliciting and distributing state and federal grants to groups and individuals. Mike has built relationships with leaders of other veterans’ groups and has provided assistance to their programs as well..
Mike also was a licensed agent with UnitedHealthcare Medicare and Retirement for thirteen years and provided seminars and individual advice mostly to seniors turning 65 and eligible for Medicare and Medicaid benefits.
Mike is married to Rhonda, and they have four sons, five grandsons, and two gorgeous granddaughters. Mike is an Eagle Scout and was active in Scouting as a scout and a leader for 60 years.
