Meeting/Program Information

Program Title: Understanding Adult Day Care Programs
Purpose:
Understand what adult day is and how it can benefit an individual. How to select a program and successfully enroll an individual. Adult Day is a wonderful, cost-effective option for adults needing care and supervision during the day. Adult day programs vary from state to state. This presentation will share the ins and outs of adult day regulations, things to look for when choosing a program, and tips for successfully transitioning someone to a program.
Speaker:
Tia Sauceda, Director, Adult Day and Respite, Seniors’ Resource Center
Tia Sauceda has devoted the past seventeen years to Adult Day. She has worked at 4 different programs, holding every role from direct care provider to Executive Director. Currently, she’s the Director of Adult Day and Respite at Seniors’ Resource Center. Tia is active with the Alzheimer’s Association, Jefferson County’s Aging Well project and a member of the Coordinated Services Workgroup and on the Dementia Friendly Denver steering committee. She is also a member of the Medicaid Provider Rate Review Advisory committee, representing HCBS programs. Tia has a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
