Live Class or Online Course Audit

Auditing the Working with Older Adults course is a great way for Certified Senior Advisors to refresh their knowledge on key issues affecting older adults, and to obtain 20 of the 30 required continuing education (CE) credits each three-year recertification period.

The CSA Exam is not required or included as part of auditing the live class or online course options. 

*Auditing the live class or online course is exclusively available to active Certified Senior Advisors and is not a required for recertification. SCSA offers multiple options for obtaining continuing education credits to meet recertification requirements.

Micro-Credential Program
$195 each

The Working with Older Adults Micro-Credential Program offers six certificate courses that are a separate learning option from the Working with Older Adults course. This program gives you the benefit of being able to choose one or more of the six topic areas from the Working with Older Adults course that best enhance and supplement your existing expertise and knowledge. Each certificate course includes:

  • The print booklet of the selected topic area within the Working with Older Adults Textbook
  • Two months of access to the interactive online module of the selected topic area with review questions    
  • Comprehensive online certificate quiz
  • Certificate of completion  

*Enrollment into the Working with Older Adults education program or Micro-Credential program is separate from application for Certification and the CSA Exam. Individuals seeking to obtain certification must also purchase the CSA Exam package. The Working with Older Adults education program and Micro-Credential program is a self-study course.


Our Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with the Working with Older Adults Course, we will refund your tuition, minus a $75 cancellation/administrative fee, when all educational materials are received by SCSA within 30 days of the purchase date.

This policy only applies to new enrollments for the course. It does not apply to the CSA Exam, re-certifications, reinstatements or re-designation purchases. These sales are all final upon purchase.

These include the SCSA textbook, Working with Older Adults: A Professional’s Guide to Contemporary Issues of Aging, which is the foundation of the optional SCSA course that educates individuals on the core competencies necessary for serving older adults, as well as other sources as listed in the CSA Certification Handbook. The CSA Certification Department does not guarantee that the resources it provides, or those of any other entity, will ensure passing the CSA examination.
